DIY Tips

  • Printing stocks smaller than 3″x5″ can be tricky; therefore, print multiple items on an 8.5″x11″ to minimize the chance of a paper jam. Include crop marks to ensure precise cuts after printing.
  • When printing on vellum it’s best to use a laser printer. If using an ink jet, be sure to let the ink dry overnight to reduce risk of smearing.
  • When printing on textured paper it’s best to use an ink jet printer. If using a laser printer, be sure to print with the grain.
  • When assembling your invitations use 3M Scotch™ ATG Tape Rolls and Dispensers or any tape runner to quickly, easily and securely adhere layers together.
  • During the assembly process, lightweight papers are more likely to wrinkle and tear. Invitations Ink recommends using cardstock whenever possible.
